About Dr Lesego

Dr Lesego Khantsi is a qualified medical Doctor with a special interest in medical aesthetics. She started her career as a GP after qualifying from the University of Pretoria in 2002. It was during her career as a GP that she saw a gap in offering more medical aesthetic and anti-aging services to her patients that had needs beyond what she could provide as their GP.
Besides her Aesthetic interests, she also works as a General Practitioner and Epidemiologist at Health-Worx. In this role, she manages a selection of patients and their diverse medical and surgical conditions. These conditions include the management of long-term patients with lifestyle issues, and HIV.
She provides special value in the area of epidemiology as a consultant to the public health and corporate sectors. She also serves at the forefront of Health-Worx’s Infectious Disease practice – providing clinical and advisory services, and strategies and roadmaps for navigating of outbreaks such as Covid-19.
In 2011, she worked as the Head of Medical Affairs at the Janssen Pharmaceutical Companies of Johnson and Johnson. Here, she managed the Medical Affairs department and served on the Janssen Pharmaceuticals South Africa Management Committee. She also oversaw all pharmacovigilance regulatory matters, reviewing and controlling marketing material and product information sent into the market.
Dr Lesego also has some International medical experience, having worked at White Cross Healthcare in New Zealand and a Locum Expatriate Medical Examiner in Kazakhstan.
In 2019, she realised her dream of establishing Rain Aesthetic Medical Clinic, which operates in Kyalami and Pretoria. Through this clinic, she has helped both men and women with aesthetic and anti-aging medical treatments and services. Being a GP and a Medical Aesthetic Doctor enables Dr Lesego to provide holistic medical and aesthetic treatments to her clients.
Her special interests are cosmetic procedures, such as microneedling, chemical peels, Botulinum A and Thread Lifting. Her inspiration for aesthetics comes from seeing the personal impact and increased confidence in her clients. For this reason, she always provides exceptional care, taking into account the unique needs of her patients. She continues to learn and train on new techniques and treatments that enable her to keep on making a difference in her clients’ lives.
